100 miles in the sun (80-95 degrees). uphill nearly all the way. healthnet at the front going hard for most the way. it was a shattery.
we were short on water, so we were beginning to get dehydrated. rowe had a mechanical, and couldn't get back with the hot pace. so matt and i were trying to bum water, and it actually went pretty well. he just kept coming up with bottles from who-knows-where, and i happily took them. matt also just happened to have a bottle of electrolyte pills, so we each had about 10 of those. matt saved my life! hero #2 of the day was Ivan Stevic of Toyota United (world champ). he randomly gave me a full bottle with about 30K to go, and i love him for it.
anyway, once we hit the final large climb to the ski resort, it was mega shattery. i ended up 35th... pretty good ride for me considering how fast everyone else was! results are on www.cyclingnews.com
i'm tired.
