hood day 2

this stage was called a circuit race, but looked more like a crit, but wasn't really either. or maybe it was both. it was uphill and downhill with no technical sections... except a hairpin at the top of the uphill at which almost everybody came to a complete stop while waiting for the front guys to go though the turn... EVERY LAP. i didn't mind it though.

anyway, it looked like we all rode well and felt good. i believe myself, stu, and rowe got same time, and matt got gapped on the last lap, but was still up there. tad called it quits, so he's going to encourage and support us through the race now, which is money. it helps a ton to not have to worry about little things like bottles and taking care of bikes, etc.

i felt super today and can't wait to let her loose tomorrow. i have to redeem myself from last year's race on this course which was a big fat DNF.

oh, and my bike was shifting terribly before the race, but the Shimano guys were amazing. as good as the riders are here, i'd say the mechanics are better at fixing bikes. it was nice to be able to shift into any gear any time!!!
