comparing to last year's DNF after getting dropped on the first lap, this year was way better. but compared to what I was hoping for, today was a drag. it really wasn't too tough most of the day just sitting in, but at 8 k or so to go, there was a big acceleration and i was not in the position to go with. AKA i was about half way back in the peloton. it really wasn't that hard of a move, seeing as 50 other guys made it... just a position thing. that's bike racing.
the team rode very well though. Stu was kicking some butt... Rowe kicked some more butt after flatting and chasing back on... and Matt was a fighter and finished er up.
agenda for the evening: shower/eat/utilize some phlebotomy skills perhaps/don't budge until the 18 mile TT that starts early at 10 am!
ps- yes, i'm tired, and yes today was difficult.
